Glendon Harry Berryman
June 27, 1935 - August 9, 2023
Tribute
On Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 Glendon Berryman passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 88 years.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Lynden, his son Donald (Wendy); his daughter Cathy Tassie (Pete) and granddaughter Sarah. Glen was born in Victoria BC where he spent his working life as an electrician and production superintendent at CFB Esquimalt. He had a love of adventure and travel; and met Lynden on the London to Katmandu Overland Bus trip. After his retirement, he and Lynden spent several years travelling around Gt. Britain and Europe in a Campervan, before returning to Canada and settling in Osoyoos. Not that he settled down, with many trips to Australia, Mexico, African Safaris and cruises all over the globe.
Glen’s other lifelong passion was motorbikes and cars. It started as a teenager in the 1950s when he and his pals, Kerrie and Pat, bought older bikes and cars, and, out of financial necessity, acquired the mechanical skills to keep them running. Glen and his friends rode motorbikes their entire lives, getting together, when possible, for another adventure. Glen and his Osoyoos friend Roger, even went on a motorbike trip to Bhutan.
