Tribute

MORFITT, Mildred Beth “Millie”, age 72, died peacefully supported by her loving husband, George, on Thursday, August 21, 2009, in Oliver, BC.

Millie was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan on November 10, 1936 to Clifford and Ruby Pinney (nee” Waldorf). She was the 2nd youngest of 8 children.

Millie”s passion in her life was her family. She will be greatly missed by her husband, George; children Terry, Alan (Bev), Kelly, Billy (Claudette), Jackie (David), Gina (Mike) and Duane (Tabatha); 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings Betty, Kay and Harold (Joy) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her first husband, Vern Jones; infant son, Randy; daughter, Ivy; granddaughter, Megan Grant; and siblings Robert Pinney, Marion Fahy, Rosie Tiedeman, and Ronnie Pinney.

Millie lived in Calgary with her young family for many years until she married George. They moved to the rural life and then onto BC slowly working their way back across the rock over the years.

Millie wished to be laid to rest with her children in the family plot in Byemoor, AB.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday August 28, 2009 at the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Caruso officiating. A reception will follow at The Elks Hall, Oliver, BC.
