Dear Patty and family – I was so sad to hear of Bob’s passing. My sincerest condolences to the family. I personally have so many memories of the time I spent working with Bob through my early adult years. He was always so good to me. Because of Bob I was able to work in some of the most pristine and beautiful places including Babine lake, Prince Rupert, The Queen Charlotte islands and the Nass area. I always admired how Bob loved his hobbies and read books like nobody’s business. Thinking back I remember him being an avid pilot, trapper, gardener, raising bees, foxes and hunting. Bob gave me so many opportunities. and taught me a lot. As a young man I wasn’t necessary heading in the best direction but working at Pinkut really helped ground me and Bob provided me with guidance through the years. He was always so kind to me and I cannot thank him enough. Bob was and continues to be a very influential part of my life. Take care of each other – I know how proud he was of you, Patty, and the boys. I’m so sorry he had to leave us all so early. Take care, Lloyd

Relation: Bob was one of my favourite bosses.

Patty, Michael, Gregory and Kevin,
I’m incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. He was a great man. Helpful, kind, easygoing; but I remember his sense of humor as well. He made working for him easy. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with all of you out at the Fisheries, the curling rink and down in Oliver. Bob’s stories he loved to tell will live on in those who had the privilege of hearing him tell them. Thinking of you all, Carolyn.
