Clifton Scott
April 14, 1955 - January 3, 2022
Tribute
On January 3rd, 2022, Clifton passed away suddenly by cardiac arrest while he was with his wife and son. He was 66 years old. Clifton spent his last week with his family celebrating Christmas and New Years Eve.
Survived by his wife Brenda, sons Clayton and Kyle, grandchildren Elise and Ethan, brothers Delanor (Sandy) and Daniel (Alana), and son’s partner Francis. He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy Scott, father John Scott, sister Penny and brother Dwight.
Clifton was born in Red Deer, Alberta on April 14th 1955. He and Brenda met at a bowling alley ‘Lions Gate Lanes’ in West Vancouver. They were happily together for 42 years and 39 years of marriage. He was the owner of the Canadian Painter, a painting contractor that had talent working with tools and cars. Cliff was a Christian man dedicated to taking care of his family. He will be remembered as a light hearted man with a quick wit and great sense of humour.
Clifton was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching endless hockey, football, baseball and curling. He loved sunbathing with music, fishing, hitting the casino with friends, and walks by the rivers in Oliver and Chilliwack. He adored his wife Brenda’s cooking, barbecuing alongside her, and always had a hankering for beer and orange wine gums. Clifton enjoyed skiing many mountains, Cyprus, Mt. Baker, Whistler and most recently at Mt. Baldy with his sons.
Clifton was a supportive father, always driving his sons to hockey and dance class. He encouraged his son Clayton’s career in the arts and coached his son Kyle’s baseball and hockey during his childhood. He was a devoted grandfather to Elise and Ethan, he loved taking them swimming and playing video games together.
Clifton travelled recently on a Mediterranean cruise with his wife across Italy, Israel, Sicily, Jerusalem and previously to Hawaii, Bahamas, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Toronto, and Niagara Falls.
Gone far too soon, his jokes and optimism will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones. He will be forever in our hearts.
Clifton’s Celebration of Life will take place in the spring/summer and will be announced at a later date.
