Donald Thomas Henry
March 1, 1934 – February 14, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, brother, uncle, and husband, Don Henry, on Monday, February 14, 2022, at South Okanagan General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Polly Henry; 5 siblings, Bert, Bill, George, Helen, and Lillian; son, Brent.
Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marilyn, of 62 years; son, Kevin; daughter, Susan (Scott); sister, Eileen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don & Marilyn retired to Osoyoos in 1991 after working for an oil pipeline for over 27 years. He enjoyed curling and golfing. In later years, he enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays, on TV along with many other favorite sports teams.
As per Don’s wishes, no service will be held. An immediate family get together will take place later in the year. A special thanks to Dr. DeVries, the staff of SOGH, the staff at Sunnybank, and John Nunes of Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Home. Relation: Don has been a very respected friend to our family for many years.
Dear Marilyn and family – I am so very sad to hear of the passing of Don. Our families have known each other for many many years and shared some wonderful times together in our homes and at social and sports events. Our children played together as did us adults. I will miss Don answering my many questions regarding curling especially but a few golf queries as well. Say hello to my Bill and maybe you can throw a few rocks together. Love to you all from the Warring family.
