Gary Cook
July 25, 1951 - December 15, 2022
Tribute
Gary succumbed to his injuries trying to save his workshop. The fire beat him; he couldn’t beat it. He was so worried about his stuff. He is with the Lord now. No more suffering.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Tina, sons Nathanael (Chantal) Michael (grandson), Matthew (Rochelle), Justin and two brothers Lloyd (Christal) and Dale.
Predeceased by two younger brothers, dad and mom and infant son Johnathon.
Gary moved to BC with his family in 1972 from Manitoba and helped his dad for a few years in their second hand store. He then went back to Winnipeg, came back Christmas 1975, got hired at North Wood Mill in Ok Falls (changed to Weyerhauser) in January 1976 and came home sick from work in 2004. Gary met his future wife Tina in May in 1976 and they were married in February 1980 before purchasing his parents property in 1983. Gary was well known for his love of old cars, especially his 1959 Chevrolets. Gary’s passion was his family, then his cars and model cars. Gary always tried to help people when they were in need. Gary tried to listen to that still voice that said it is okay.
Gary will be deeply missed by his family and his many many friends.

Relation: A Friend in the state of Ohio U.S.A
Gary was like a father to me. He was the best friend I ever had, and we shared the love of old cars, and Model car’s/trucks. We traded models often as well as gifts. It was cheaper in the last few years for me to get models for him that he wanted as I live in the U.S. It was a pleasure to be able to help him when I could. I wish that this had never happened to him!
