Aaron Ignatius Reiter

June 13, 1970 - June 14, 2023

Tribute

On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, Aaron Ignatius Reiter passed away suddenly at the age of 53 years. He is predeceased by his mother Rosalie Reiter, and mother-in-law LeAnn Hoath.
Aaron is survived by his wife Carrie, sons; AJ, and Grady, daughters; Emma, and Courtney, grandson Ryland, father Murray (Gaynell), and sisters; Joedy (Brad) Haight, and Renee (Shane) Clutterbuck; father-in-law Bob Hoath, sister-in-law Zada (Mike) Gierl, and brothers-in-law Earl (Jean) Hoath, Rodney (Sara) Hoath, and Rob Hoath; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Aaron was born to Murray and Rosalie Reiter in Regina, Saskatchewan. He met and married the love of his life, Carrie, and they had 27 wonderful years together.

Husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, coach Aaron, and coach Dad; he was all of these things, but the most important title he had was Dad. Aaron was a devoted husband and a loving father, often telling Carrie that “Our kids are the best thing we have ever done together.” He loved travelling and life was filled with many family vacations and trips out of town to hockey and baseball tournaments.

Aaron loved all sports, but especially baseball. He was known for his loud shirts, funky socks and unique style. We will forever feel his absence. He was an amazing human being with a brilliant mind, a wicked sense of humour, and a kind heart. He could mix a mean drink, too.

Aaron will always be carried in our hearts, and the Somba Tigers will have an angel in the outfield.
In the words of Yogi Berra, “Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good too.”

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church Hall in Penticton and is open to all who would like to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you consider making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at https://www.heartandstroke.ca/how-you-can-help/ways-to-give
