Adam Leigh

January 2, 1971 - May 4, 2022

Tribute

Christopher Adam Leigh passed away on May the Fourth, 2022, from health issues he had been coping with for several years. He will be missed and remembered by his parents, Ron and Lorraine; older brother Trevor; many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and countless friends and colleagues in the Arts Community and in the Bar and Restaurant industry. Adam graduated from Calgary’s Bishop Carrol High School before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Calgary. An accomplished film, TV, improv, and theatre actor, he was particularly unforgettable as the lead in The Jedi Handbook plays. Adam was strong in the Force—an avid Star Wars fan and collector. He loved his Calgary Flames and had a deep knowledge of the team’s stats, players, and history. His sense of humor was well-known and it never failed to liven whatever social circle he found himself in. All are welcome to join his Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 15th, starting at 2pm, at the Owl Pub in Osoyoos. There will also be a Celebration of Adam’s life in Calgary at a date/time soon to be determined. Condolences and tributes may be left for the family by visiting www.nunes-pottinger.com

Relation: Through his work.

I was shocked and so saddened to hear about Adam. I knew him only as a server at the golf course on Ladies’ Night but he was my favorite server. Loved his sense of humour! RIP, Adam. You were too young to leave us. Huge hugs to your Mom and Dad.

From: Dave Butler

Sorry to hear of Adam’s passing. Heather and I bowled with Adam for the past three years. We loved his easy going, care free attitude. Our condolences to the family.

Ron, Lorraine and family. So shocked and saddened to hear of Adam’s passing. Our deepest condolences to all. Adam was much too young to leave you & yours. Always remember the good times. Hugs to everyone

From: P Gail Whiteford
Relation: Friend of a family member, Trevor, and had worked with Adam on stage.

I wish that I could have been at the tribute for Adam yesterday. I am sure the love and good memories flowed forth, along with laughter and tears. I had a matinee yesterday so could not attend, but trust me at the appointed hour I stopped for a moment, uncorked my flask backstage and drank a wee toast to an incredible man.

Adam — my friend. So sad to learn of your passing. I wish I had been in touch with you in recent years, but I have so many great memories of you on stage, in scenes together, in the DUS playing euchre, and late nights in MacHall Max’s. Hopefully I have not missed the Calgary get together to remember you. My sympathies to your brother and family. Peace.

Relation: Co-worker

Dear Trevor and Family
Please accept my condolences on the loss of Adam. I worked with him back in the day at ATP. My fondest memories are of Boy’s Own. We had such fun and I was mightily impressed with the dude’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the Jedi canon.
May the memories of talented and remarkable boy bring you comfort at this difficult time.
Trev, would love to have a catch up with you, please reach out when you are ready.
Take care
Di
