Tribute
Born on May 2, 1917 in Nicola Lake, BC. Mr Alex Mitchell of Osoyoos passed away peacefully with his granddaughter Larisa Stevenson by his side on June 26, 2011 at Mariposa Gardens. Alex was predeceased by his wife Beverley December 31, 2010. He is survived by his five children Robert (Donna), Merrill, Colleen (Mike), Maureen (Ross), and Heather (Chris); seven grandchildren Robbie, Trevor (Gina), Angela (Steve), Tania (Paul), Darren, Larisa, and Jenna; three great grandchildren Alex, Sydney, and Tyler. He will also be missed by his special niece Mary Jones. Alex was a long time member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was and avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman for his whole life. A memorial service will be held Monday July 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Osoyoos Elks Lodge.
