Dear Father, Grandfather, and friend

You belonged to a generation that had to go through many difficult times such as having to enlist since very young age as a German soldier in a world war, however you always strove and found the way to become a strong person that not only was able to immigrate but to become a recognized professional in the geology field in Canada for which you had so much passion for. Not only did you become a recognized geologist but also became a very responsible and loving husband and father to 3 sons and 6 grandsons. You were an admirable and wise person, and we will all miss your stories which you had so many to tell.

Your example lives on in us, and your memory will be eternal. Rest in peace.
