Allan Nichol
August 4, 1938 - November 3, 2012
Tribute
It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Allan Thomas Nichol on Nov. 3, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Allan will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 43 years, Kari; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Phillip Quaedvlieg; grandchildren, Gavin, Alec, Stella, and Danica; sister and brother-in-law, Isabel and Bruce Ferguson; brothers-in-law and their wives, Lars and Janice Gronmyr, Carl Gronmyr and Larissa Vilenkova, and Glenn and Louise Gronmyr; many nephews and nieces, as well as his wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Isabella and Tom Nichol, and his brother and wife, Dennis and Lena Nichol.
Allan was born in Oliver and has lived here all his life. Although he has worn many hats, he was a respected orchardist for more than 40 years. Allan enjoyed the outdoors, and as an avid outdoorsman he took great pleasure in spending time in the surrounding hills. He loved his family very much, and took special interest in hearing what his grandchildren were doing. We love this special man. His passing has left an enormous void.
At Allan's request, a small private family service will be held at the Oliver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation in Allan's memory may do so to a charity or organization of their choice.

Hi Jen, Kari, and family. We were so sorry to hear about your loss. Words cannot express our losses, but all I can say is that people that have a strong faith, it pulls them thru. I did not. And what pulled me thru was knowing I did everything I could when Jen was alive. It pulled me thru, with time on my side. Take care. Joan and Marty Whiteman.
