Tribute
On Thursday, December 7, 2017, Mrs. Allisen Irene Sargent (nee Gebhart) of Midway, BC passed away suddenly at the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks at the age of 67 years.
She was predeceased by her father Howard Gebhart; mother Betty Brown; stepfather Norman Brown and dearly loved son Daniel Sargent.
Allisen will be fondly remembered by her loving family including husband Wayne Sargent; daughter Carrie Lee Strumpski; her beloved granddaughters Kendra and Alexis; siblings Larry Gebhart (Diane), Lee Chic and Leonard Gebhart; her heart sister Bonnie Head; Uncle Bill (Lorna); Aunt Eileen (Bill); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Allisen worked for many years at the Elgin Medical Clinic in Port Coquitlam. She was also very involved in her community through volunteerism. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Osoyoos, Toastmasters International and with Girl Guides of Canada.
Allisen enjoyed knitting, bowling, spending time with family and friends but especially spending time with her granddaughters Kendra and Alexis.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Osoyoos United Church with a reception to follow.
Donations are gratefully accepted for Diabetes Canada, BC Children’s Hospital or Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program (KCCP) to benefit BC children.
