Tribute
On Saturday March 16, 2013, Mr. Andrew (Andy) Holmes of Osoyoos passed away at his home at the age of 65 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred & Dorothy Holmes.
Andy will be fondly remembered by his loving family including daughter Carmen; son-in-law David; grandson Drake; brother Paul and his wife Sue; nephews Mike, Richard and Chris as well as many close friends. He will also missed by his extended family, Pam, Matt, Peter, Mary and Bob.
Andy was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England and lived in Cornwall for many years before immigrating to Canada in 1991. He was a mechanic and worked for Juniper Motors when he first arrived in Canada. He then worked for Penticton Toyota before being self-employed for many years.
Andy enjoyed model railways, rebuilding classic cars and hot rods. He also enjoyed rebuilding derelict cottages, renovated many homes, helped build many shops and was a major help in building Carmen and Dave’s home.
A memorial reception will be held at 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Osoyoos Legion Hall where lunch will be served and stories shared .
