Tribute
Anna passed away peacefully at McKinney Place surrounded by her family and friends.
Anna grew up in Nederhorst den Berg (Holland) where she met her husband Jack. They came ‘on the boat’ and settled in Oliver in 1954. Like many immigrants from Holland, they began a new adventure challenged with learning a new language and culture. Both were brave, young and willing to work hard.
Anna worked for 28 years at both hospitals in Oliver. She will always be remembered for her high quality of work and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone.
A private family gathering will be held to honor Anna in the spring.
Anna’s family will miss her dearly. We love you Mom.
Anna is survived by Helen and Barry Kilback, Jenny and Rob Taylor, Ronald and Vicky Bouwer, Kim and Ben Godsmark and great, great grandson Logan Sean Godsmark.
Anna was loved and cared for by the staff at McKinney Place. To the staff at McKinney Place from Anna: “Aye Yii, Yii, Yiiii”.
