Tribute
On Friday November 21, 2014, Mr. Antonio Vieira Cabral of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 81 years.
Antonio will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Isabel; son Tony; brothers Philemano of the US and Frank of Vancouver; sisters Maria and Lucilia of Windsor and Conceicao of Boston.
Antonio was born in Faial da Terra, Sao Miguel, Acôres and immigrated to Canada in 1956 and settled in Oliver in the early 1970’s and worked in local orchards for many years. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Prayers will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Neil Lustado at 10:30 A.M. Thursday November 27, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment and will follow at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery with a reception in the church hall afterwards.
