I have been thinking and praying for you Elfriede as you go through this journey of loss. The Christmas and Holiday season must have been difficult. How did you survive it? Even though its been 7 years ago that I lost Derek, I am amazed that the heart just does not go back to its original shape. The more we loved, the more the pain. We do learn to accept the pain and loss into our lives though it is never the same. You will probably discover the same. Now, at each family gathering or celebration you will always miss him. Take care and if you are ever in town in abbotsford, let me know. PS I heard that Henry Wiebe was the pastor at the service. I wonder if it is the Henry Wiebes I know with whom I lived when I spent a summer in Port Edward. They have three children, David, Wendy, and….I know the kids are all grown up now. But I do have good memories of them, even it was way back in the early 70’s. I knew no one when I went up there except the girl I flew up with, and since we worked opposite shifts…well, the wiebes became my “home away from home. Say hi to them if it is in fact that Henry Wiebe. Now, may the God of peace and comfort continue to be with you. (It is in our hour of weakness that we are stronger than we know because that is when God is strong through us. Cousin Maria
