Austin Eisener

March 27, 1997 - July 2, 2017

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Austin, on July 2, 2017.

Austin will always and forever be remembered by his loving family, including his Grandma, Deb Eisener; Grandpa Rick Waselankoff; Auntie Mandi Eisener & (Lindsay Bennett), Cousins Justice Eisener & Chance Bennett; Siblings David & Taylor Laurie, Mom Sheryl Eisener; the love of his life Kristi Gehringer. As well as the Schumacher Family including Dad Nicholas, siblings Micheal & June, Grandma Jean & Grandpa Claude, Uncle Chris, Aunt April, cousins Megan & Sierra; Auntie Angie, cousins Troy, Sunny & Chase; Great Grandparents Peter & Hilda Froese; and all the other family and friends that are helping at this time of loss.

Born in Chilliwack, March 27 1997 Austin was raised by his grandparents since birth and moved to Osoyoos when he was 6 years old.

Austin worked as a Drywaller, following the footsteps of his Grandpa Rick. He also worked at the Shell Station for a few years.

From a very young age Austin’s love has always been the outdoors and his grandpa taught him everything he needed to know. Austin spent countless hours hunting, fishing, 4x4ing, quading, snowmobiling, cutting wood, camping and spending time together with family and friends at the hunting cabin up in the Christian Valley.

He also loved cooking and was damn good at it, hosting many dinners to bring together his friends and all those that he cared for. Whether it was spending time at home playing cards with his grandma, taking Kristi out for a picnic, or being out on the boat on Osoyoos Lake he spent his days surrounding himself with people that would do anything for him.

Austin was always such a kind, gentle & generous soul and put everyone else before himself. He touched everyone in a special way and all the memories shared, even the gonchi rubs, will live on in us all.

A celebration of Austin’s life will be held at the Sonora Centre, Osoyoos on Saturday, July 15 at 11:30-3:30pm.

In lieu of gifts or flowers donations can be made in memory of Austin to Austin Eisener’s family Go Fund Me page. These donations will go towards alleviating Austin’s grandparents who are left with funeral costs, bills, travel arrangements and we want to try to lighten the load as best as we can financially.

Words cannot begin to express the sorrow – he was a great student and I truly enjoyed his sense of humour, as well as his knowledge of the outdoors. At this difficult time in your life, may your family be comforted by the outpouring of love and support from the community.
