Tribute

Avis Clifford passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at McKinney Place. Oliver BC at the age of 67 years.  

Avis was predeceased by her mother, Pearl Avis Tymchuk, her father Angus Clifford, and her brother John Wayne Tymchuk. She is survived by her sisters Tammy Sue Tymchuk of Golden, BC and Mary-Anne Morin (Tymchuk)  of Oliver, BC, and by her brothers Gordon Lang of Winnipeg, MB and Charles Clifford of Portage La Prairie, MN.

Avis was employed as a hairdresser, a forestry firefighter, and in various service industries.

She volunteered for the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Royal Purple, and many other community activities.  In addition, she supported the Canadian Cancer Society, the World Wildlife Federation,  and Meals on Wheels.

Avis was a social butterfly who also enjoyed crafts, berry picking, fishing and camping. She loved to travel state-side.
