Tim and Family,

Sorry to hear the passing of your mom. I enjoyed looking after her. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.

From: Janice Jorde
Relation: Daughter

I feel a warmth around me like your presence is so near, and I close my eyes to visualize your face when you were here, I endure the times we spent together and they are locked inside my heart. For as long as I have those memories we will never be apart, Even though we cannot speak no more my voice is always there. Because every night before I sleep I have you in my prayer.

I’m building my own little library, embedded in my heart, for all the moments spent with you, before you had to part. I can open it up whenever I like, pick a moment and watch it through, my little library acts as a promise, I’ll never ever forget you.

I love you my mother, my mentor, best friend, wishing all good things hadn’t come to an end.

Aunty, I will miss the very best of you, but that’s all I ever knew you to be (the best!) Always there for each one of us, unconditional love for friends and family. I’ll continue to cherish each special moment we shared; I was so proud to have been your niece. I’m so grateful for that warmth I’ll always carry; you made sure I knew you were always proud of me. I’ll miss your beautiful face, your laugh, your wisdom, your heart, I’ll cherish each and every precious memory. Although greatly missed, I’ll still blow you a kiss; Aunty, thank you… You’re finally free.

Dear Janice & Kim,
My heart aches for you and all your family during this time. Barb was such a wonderful person. I’m glad we had the chance to get to know her, and I think about all the times when she would come out to just have a chat and sometimes cook food for us crazy people. She will truly be missed by many people. My condolences.

I am saddened by Barb’s passing, but grateful that she is no longer in pain. I will miss our chats about books and medicine and ideas and about you, Janice. You were the light in her life. I loved her like one of my family, and I know she loved me back. Such a big, big heart in a lovely woman. ♥

From: Elaine Cathcart
Relation: I was in training at the General Hospital in Regina with Barb

I was always struck by Barb.s enthusiasm and energy at the nurses residence. She seemed to enjoy every activity among the students.I didn’t have an opportunity to work with her but I expect her work was with the same care. Her passing is sad, she will be missed.

From: Patsy
Relation: Sister

My sister – a generous, kind, loving woman and friend. She was always there for me to give sensible advice and support. Throughout the years she spread her love to others with delicious baked goodies or hot meals. New born babies were swaddled in her homemade quilts, including one made lovingly for my own grandson. I miss her terribly but she is at peace now. Heaven has got another angel. See you again Barbie – all my love, Pat
