Beverley Schmidtka

Tribute
On Friday June 19th, 2015, Mrs. Beverley Eunice Schmidtka of Osoyoos passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 73 years.
Beverley leaves behind her beloved son Leonard Duby and granddaughter Leigh Duby; her brothers Don Benson (Shirley), Harold (Mary) Benson; their children Jeff, Natalie and Trish Benson; her sister Shirley Dieterle and her family: Rodney & Brenda Huff, Roger, Rocky and Deborah as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve Schmidtka; daughters Patty and Peggy Lee and nephew Robin Huff.
Bev worked in Calgary as a caregiver for many years until they decided to move to Osoyoos for a warmer climate. They traveled to Yuma and Mexico often where they enjoyed visiting other Canadians in their motorhomes.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday June 23rd at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M Tuesday June 23rd at the Osoyoos Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank the all of her friends for helping her through her illness and the staff at the South Okanagan General Hospital for their compassionate care.

To Bev’s family, Our families do not see each other often, but, you all are in my prayers. I have lots of memories of all of you Donny, Shirley, Harold, and of course Bev. When I was young I remember fun times at the farm, listening to the radio, watching Bev and Shirley and hoping one day I would be as pretty as they were. Miss you all. Big hugs from “Little” Peggy.
