Brian Wade McCrimmon

August 11, 1960 - May 13, 2023

Tribute

Brian lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on May 13, 2023, at the age of 62.He is survived by his partner of 37 years, Judi; his mom, Yvonne; his brother and sister-in-law Darcy, and Micki; his nephews Luke, and Riley; and his aunt Dorothy.

Brian was kind, genuine, and always welcoming. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. Brian had a bright smile and beautiful eyes. He had a passion for food and music that was rivaled only by his love of people. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To honor his memory, in lieu of flowers, we would ask that you donate to CKUA, the publicly funded radio station that shaped his eclectic taste in music over a span of two decades. You can donate at: support.ckua.com

I met Brian at the Osoyoos curling club 6 years ago, he was out practicing and I asked to join him. He was highly interested in learning how to maintain curling ice and we soon became best buddies. He helped me at the rink alot! We also discovered that we both had the same enthusiasm for the sport of golf. My wife Rhea and Judi enjoyed our get togethers. He truly was the most genuine, kind and loving soul!!! We will miss him so much. We send love, hugs and prayers to Judi and Brian’s loved ones.

Hi Judi, very sorry to hear the passing of Brian. I will always remember his positive attitude with people and in life. I will treasure our long time together in curling and golfing, beer at the club, hockey games and dinner at Michael’s, the little chit chats at the airport and his special visits to me on the plane, and the many heart-to-heart discussions about life, retirement and yes, meaning of life. I will miss him! So long, my friend.

Dear Judi and Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. Although our meetings have been very intermittent and by chance since he was a student and curler at St. Francis, Brian always greeted me with the biggest smile, a huge “Hi” and a sparkle in his eye. This greeting was always followed by some reminiscing about the ‘old’ days and catching up on current happenings. In an instant you could tell that he loved and lived life to the fullest in a gentle but spirited manner. Our condolences and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. May you find peace and comfort as you gather to remember the memories and honor the man you so love. Rest in Peace, Brian.

I am so sorry Judy and family. It is said that the eyes are the window of the soul and Brian did indeed have beautiful eyes. I pray for your comfort.
