Bruce Carriere

February 3, 1959 - April 20, 2020

Tribute

It is with great sadness but also with great hope that we share that Bruce Phillippe Joseph Carriere has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Monday April 20, 2020.

He was Sandi’s husband, friend, confidante and protector for 40 years.

An awesome dad and close friend to his sons, Joel (Melissa) and Jordan (Lindsay), and Papa to Jamie, Jacob and Nevaeh, beloved furry friends, Maggie and Charlie.

He was predeceased by his dad Henry (Hank).  He had a loving and close relationship with his mom Hazel and siblings Lori, Dar, Michelle, and Hank.

He had an effect on everyone who knew him…his love of NFL football, hockey, guitars, motorcycles, candy and treats, his big laugh, and distinctive voice set him apart. He loved to debate, and share useless trivia. You always knew where you stood with Bruce.

Our love for each other and deep faith in Jesus is what kept us going through his long and difficult battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Bruce was a fearless warrior, never lost his joy, and never complained. The more his disease progressed, the more his light shone.

We want to thank our family doctor, Sarah Tucker, Dr. Susan Benzer and palliative home Nurse Shannon who brought so much compassion into our lives.

The palliative care workers at Columbia View Lodge in Trail BC treated us just like family and with so much love. They loved Bruce and spoiled him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will never forget you!

Sweet man, this is just an interruption, our story doesn’t end here.  One day you will be there to welcome us to Heaven.

We will ride up and down the Streets of Gold together. You took a big piece of our hearts with you, we’ll always love you. See you later….
