Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruno Rubner on February 17, 2011. He died peacefully at Mariposa Gardens. He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, his children Gloria (Mark) and Wayne, and his granddaughters, Michelle and Sarah. He was predeceased by his daughter Karen and brothers Edward (Joyce) and Gary (Edie). He is survived by his sisters Mary (late Don) and Jeannette (Gene), and brother Ren (Jackie). A memorial mass was held on Tuesday, February 22st at St. Anne’s Catholic Parish, Osoyoos. A reception hosted by the CWL was then held in the church lower hall. An urn interment and committal followed at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Dear Lorraine and family – So saddened to hear that Bruno had passed away. I am so glad Roy & I (In Mariposa Gardens) had the opportunity to meet him – allbeit too short. Bruno was most kind while sitting opposite us for those few meals and was able to say a few words to us. My and Roy’s kind condolences to you. Sincerely Pat Philpott
