It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Charles Andrews who passed away August 1st in Oliver, BC, having just retired there in the spring with his beloved Coreen.
Charlie will be greatly missed by his family and friends, including Daughters, Pam (David) Graham, Rhonda and Lindsay Andrews.
Granddaughters, Alexandra (TJ) Parkin and Sarah Graham, as well as Great Grandchildren, Hunter, Brianna, Linden and Carter.
He also leaves behind Sisters, June (Bud) Pedersen, Dorothy Aston, Marg (Ray) Miller and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Chuck.
Charlie was born in Peterborough, Ontario and moved to Port Alberni, BC when he was 2 years of age. He grew up in Port and moved to Nanaimo as a young adult. He was predeceased by his parents Milton and Stella in 1987, as well as his Brother Bill in October 2015, who affectionately called him Zeke.
Charlie was a hardworking man who could build just about anything. He committed many years to the plumbing-pipefitting trade after he got his start in the late 60’s. He loved to say “I did that job”, having worked locally on the Island and all over the province. Of his greatest achievements were a project with the Bamfield Marine Science Centre and passing on his knowledge and work ethic to others, he was a great Mentor.
He is watching us now from his place with Christ where he plans to spend eternity; he hopes you will join him there one day.

Charley was my friend and pipefitter on many jobs. He was as good a tradesmen as they come. Also he was a hoot, as off the wall as any one I ever knew. Where ever Chas is now it will never be the same. Rest well my friend.
