On Wednesday February 24, 2010, Mr. Charles Henry “Charlie” Clemens of Oliver passed away after a long courageous battle with ALS at the age of 59 years.
He was predeceased by his father Peter Jacob Clemens and mother Lois Clemens.
Charlie will be fondly remembered by his loving wife, best friend and devoted caregiver Carolyn; step-daughter Nan; brothers Joe (Lorna), Peter (Wendy), Ron (Michelle), Don (Nancy), Neil (Marika) and Pat (Sue) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Charlie was born on March 12, 1950 in Langley, BC and spent thirty-four years working for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. He will be dearly missed by his many colleagues.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be announced and held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the ALS Society of British Columbia, 208 – 1600 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 1R3.
