Charles Mcintyre

April 11, 1931 - January 22, 2016

Tribute

Born on the family farm at D’Arcy, Saskatchewan to Charles and Violet McIntyre,

Chuck was brought up on the farm north of D’Arcy. It was natural for Chuck to be involved in all aspects of farming. Farming was his life, on the land he loved and cared for so well.

He married Vivienne Percival in 1963, and together they farmed until 1983, when they moved to Osoyoos, BC.

They enjoyed life by the lake, nurturing their yard to be park-like. They enjoyed their association with friends in the Gyro Club.

Chuck was always concerned about our country and politics. He was the candidate for the WCC in 1982.

Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Violet McIntyre; his wife, Vivienne; his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Richard Lingard, and niece Leslie Lingard.

He is survived by nephew Rick Lingard of Nelson, BC; cousins Bernice Goldie of Saskatoon, SK, Robert McIntyre of Rosetown, SK, Audrey Mantoani of Surrey, BC, Jean McDonald of Rosetown, SK; special friend and companion Gisela Bossio as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a small, informal memorial gathering on Saturday, February 27th at  11:00 am at the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel, 5855 Hemlock Street, Oliver, BC.

Chuck was a great friend & neighbor to my parents Blanche & Ian McKay for many years. I always enjoyed our chats when we would run into each other while doing yard work around the place and will miss that. Have thought about him many times since hearing of his passing. Our sincere condolence to his family.

RIP Charlie. You were a true gentleman. I enjoyed our chats through the years and catching up on mutual acquaintances. My condolences to your family.

Chuck was the great friend to me.
He was kind, considerate, generous, wise and possessed an amazing sense of humour.
He never lost his love of the land and his farming roots and adored his wife Vivienne. We spent some amazing times together, probably laughing 90% of the time.
You were one special man, Chuck.
God Speed!
Diana Vernon-Fleming
