Colleen Patricia Chilcott
March 12, 1943 – November 6, 2021
It is with sadness that we share the passing of Colleen Chilcott on Saturday, November 6th at the age of 78. She passed away peacefully with her husband Larry (Papa) with her at home in Midway.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Chilcott, and they celebrated 40 years of marriage this year. Mom to Jana (Rob) Forner, Leigh Peever & Jordy (Luz) Chilcott.
Grande to Linsie Cheveldave, Dane (Jaime) Forner, Hayden Peever, Hannah Chilcott & Jordan Chilcott.
Great Grande to Kensie Cheveldave, Hallen Cheveldave, Blaire Forner & Reese Forner.
Mom worked all her life across many careers which included Office Administration to Early Childhood education as a Teachers Assistant in the South Okanagan School Districts in her later career stages. Her longest role by far was working in Oliver with Adults with Intellectual disabilities. She had hours of enjoyment and learnings working with this community.
Colleen, Grande & Great Grande will be missed.
At Colleen’s request there will be no service at this time but a future private memorial. To honour her life, donations can be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Her most often used prayer was:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
