Tribute
On Tuesday January 20, 2015, Mr. Dale Wesley David Stacey of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 77 years.
He was predeceased by his father Gerald Stacey in 1958; mother Faye Stacey in 1992; nieces Debbie and Leann Stacey and sisters-in-law Marg Stacey and Denice.
Dale will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Ingrid (nee Wiedeck); brothers Garry, Doug, Tom and families; brother-in-law Heinz Wiedeck of Terrace, BC; many extended family and friends as well as his Winston, his life-long companion.
Aside from working for the CNR for a few years, Dale spent his career working as a parts-man in heavy equipment.
Over the years, Dale and Ingrid enjoyed numerous vacations in Hawaii. Dale was passionate about curling and golfing through his whole life but particularly since his retirement in Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the BCSPCA, 2200 Dartmouth Dr., Penticton, BC V2A 4C2.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hamilton and Gwen at Dr. Hamilton’s office, palliative care nurse Lynn Wilson; Dr. Deen at KGH as well as the all the staff of the SOGH Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care and compassion. Also a big thank you to all our friends and family who have sent cards, food, special thoughts, prayers and well wishes.
