It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel “Dan” Gleeson on September 6, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born in Ontario on March 16, 1948, Dan lived a life defined by family, friendship, and a passion for making the most of every moment. He later made his home in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he and his wife, Lynda, raised their family and created a lifetime of cherished memories. In retirement, Dan settled in Osoyoos, British Columbia, where he embraced everything life had to offer and truly lived retirement to the fullest.

Dan was the devoted husband of Lynda Gleeson, loving father of Bryan (Karen) Gleeson and Kevin (Rain) Gleeson, and proud grandfather of Devin and Taylor. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy, and he treasured every opportunity to be with them.

Retirement brought Dan many of the things he loved most. An avid traveler, he enjoyed exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories with family and friends. He was passionate about golf and a proud member of the Osoyoos Golf & Country Club, where he developed many treasured friendships. Known for his outgoing and social nature, Dan never missed an opportunity to gather with others, share a story, enjoy a laugh, and raise a glass in good company. Whether on the golf course, traveling, or spending time with loved ones, he embraced each day with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a genuine appreciation for the people around him.

Dan will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, generosity, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. He had a gift for connecting with people and leaving them better for having spent time with him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many friends whose lives were enriched by his friendship.

In keeping with Dan’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, the family asks that the next time you gather with family and friends, you take a moment to raise a glass, share a story, and make a toast in his memory. Nothing would have made Dan happier than knowing he brought people together one more time.

Dan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
