Tribute
On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Mr. Darryl Wayne Wenzel of Rock Creek passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 66 years.
He was predeceased by his father Russ Wenzel; mother Nora Wenzel and son Laith Wenzel.
Darryl will be fondly remembered by his loving family including his wife Marie of 48 years; daughter Taira (Ryan); son Rueben (Niki); grandchildren Audrey, Wesley, Wyatt, Ryker, Kailyn, Wyatt, Brolin and Emersyn; great-grandson Liam; brother Larry, sister Cheryl (Brian); brother Niel (Mary) as well as many nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.
Darryl had a long career as a logger and truck driver.
He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, driving in the bush, dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
A Truck Parade will start at 11:00 am Saturday, August 18th with a starting point to be announced. Any questions, please contact Cliff Labounty at (250)446-2523 or Josh Labounty at (250)528-9999.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Kettle Wildlife Association, 1635 Dump Road, Rock Creek.
Donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully accepted for the Kettle River Lions Club.
