Tribute

Dave Silvers was born in Lethbridge, AB, and was adopted by a loving family. Always the charmer, he soon met, and married, the love of his life, Christine, whom he would come to call his ‘angel’. Dave was always an amazing salesman – many said he could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Together with Christine, they ran several sales businesses throughout Canada. They also created four wonderful children: Brent, Brenda, Beverly and Bobby (the 4 B’s). Eventually they settled in Osoyoos, BC, where they remained for nearly 30 years, and were well-loved by many in the community. Dave’s largest challenge was in 2009, when Christine passed away, although he was diligently by her side until the end. Last week, he finally peacefully joined her, and is now happily in her arms. He is survived by his four children, as well as three granddaughters, Christina, Neaqeah, and Madison, his two grandsons, James and Preston, and daughters-in-law Laurel and Shilo. Many thanks go to the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service for the lovely service they had in Dave’s honour. Also, Dave would certainly like to thank McKinney Place, and all the wonderful employees who added beauty and joy to his daily life. In lieu of flowers, a donation to McKinney Place would be appreciated. Dave Silvers: Devoted husband, loving father, one heck of a man.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 17, 2011 at the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel.
