David John Stang
February 20, 1965 - November 17, 2024
Tribute
With a heavy heart and great sadness, Dave, my best friend and soul mate, suddenly passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 59. He was so looking forward to collecting his CPP at 60.
Survived by his wife Holly, together for 21 wonderful years and his puppies, Whiskey and Ryley whom he loved so much; Sons Matt and Mike Stang, Thomas Matthews, Ryan, Derek and Matthew Errington, and their families whom he was very proud of; 6 Grand children who he adored Harper, Brady, Peyton, Britton, Beau and Ivy; and 2 brothers Norm and Tim Stang.
Dave was a very hard-working man who liked to take on different jobs and tasks. He loved to build things, he loved working with wood. He would always say “Google is a wonderful thing” That was his go-to when needing information on how to perform the task at hand. He would never ask for help but would always help others when needed. Dave had many friends and was the life of the party in our Cul de sac. He would ask Gary and Steve “Wanna Beer”, once that one beer was done he would say “just one more” which always led to 2 or 3 more LOL. He loved his beer. We still had so much in life to do and explore which unfortunately has come to an end way too soon. The memories and laughs we had I will cherish in my heart forever. Gone but never forgotten my love. We will make our last trip to Maui together soon.
Thanks to Gary and Bonnie, Steve and Olga and the rest of our Cul de sac family, and friends for all their love and support during this time. It means so much to me and my family. I would like to thank the doctors and nurses at KGH for all the care they gave Dave.
A celebration of life will be held at our home in Oliver next summer. The castle he built for us which he was so proud of. I miss you so very much my love. I have your last text on the fridge you sent me on November 5th. “ I love and miss you guys so much can’t wait to be home”. You will be home soon honey. AFF, LULAL, LOVE YOU BYE, for now.

Dave and I got our Millwright apprenticeships around the same time. I have many great memories with Dave, troubleshooting at Clear Lake Sawmill, and all the laughs (but no beer, lol). Dave was always so happy, and he will be missed. My condolences to each of you during this time.

Holly, we were so very sorry to hear that Dave was not coming home. We were getting to know him better as a neighbor. The dynamics of the neighborhood will certainly change with Dave not here. Your tribute was beautiful, so full of love for your loving husband. It truly touched our hearts. Condolences to your whole family to lose such a wonderful man too soon.
