David Alan (Al) Wallis
May 16, 1951 – March 5, 2024
After many years of suffering chronic pain and a hard-fought battle with cancer, Al passed away peacefully with his wife Sharol, family and friends by his side.
Al and Sharol met in their teens and married in 1970. They enjoyed many years of married life in Laclu, Ontario, before moving to Osoyoos, BC in 2018.
Al loved fishing, hunting and operating his hobby farm in Laclu. He was especially proud of his time raising pheasants.
Al is survived by his loving wife Sharol, many family members, nieces and nephews and his sister, Joyce. Al was ever thankful for the care he received from Joyce who raised him from an early age after the untimely death of his parents.
The family gives thanks to the support and care received from Al’s medical team, especially Dr. Dhillon and Dr. Kane and his palliative care nurses Carmen and Karen and for the respectful assistance received from Cory and the staff at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
Al lived and died by his own terms and was proud of that. His life and laugh will long be remembered by all who knew him well.
