Tribute
On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, Mrs. Deolinda Maria Laranjeira Dias of Osoyoos passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Village at Smith Creek in West Kelowna at the age 78 years.
Deolinda will be fondly remembered by her loving family including sons Jorge Dias and Orlando & wife Corylie Dias; her daughter Mary & husband Luis Goncalves; grandchildren Claudia Dias, Braeden Dias, Avery Dias, Catarina Goncalves and Adam Goncalves; great-grandchildren Camber Edmonds and Caliber Edmonds as well as many extended family and friends.
Deolinda moved to Canada in 1971 with her husband and two sons where she started farming. She lived on her farm and added her third child Mary to the family.
Deolinda was a devout Catholic who loved her family, gardening and loved being outdoors.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Cancer Society.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
