Tribute
On Tuesday January 8, 2013, Mr. Donald Telesphore Guy of Oliver passed away peacefully at the age of 70 years at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit where he was greatly cared for by the staff.
He was predeceased by his parents Telesphore & Agnes Guy; his brother Joe Guy; his sister Germaine Guy and grandson Adam Schaefer.
Donald will be fondly remembered by his loving family including daughters Terra (Darin) Schaefer, Natalie (Dean Casorso) Guy and Renée (Matthew) Storgard; his grandchildren Damon, Kennedy and Kesha Schaefer, Talia and Sofia Storgard and Harley Casorso; his long time love Dianne Schweitzer; his sister Jeannette (Ken) Weber; brother Johnny Guy as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Donald was born and raised in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan. Over the years he worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool; he owned Edam Farm Supply and worked for Sonax. He was a hardworking man of many talents.
Donald was an active volunteer and advocate for his community but his greatest love was for his girls and grandchildren. He had a passion for horses and gardening and could spend hours tending to both.
The family of Donald Guy would like to express appreciation and heartfelt thanks to many friends and relatives for their prayers, visits, phone calls, kind words and the abundance of food, flowers etc., during this difficult time. Also, thanks to Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service for helping with all the funeral arrangements.

A graveside urn interment will be held at Butte St. Pierre, Paradise Hill, SK at a later date.

I wanted to express my deepest condolences on the loss of Don. I accepted a new job and hadn’t been to the extended care in a bit, I was told on Monday of his passing. Don was one of my special residents. He always greeted me with a smile. He was genuinely interested in my boys hockey games and had planned on walking down to the Oliver Arena this weekend to watch a home game. I will never forget him. May he rest in peace.
