Tribute

KROSS, Donald Glen (1929 – 2010). Donald Kross passed away at the age of 80 on February 22, 2010. Don was predeceased by his brother Stewart and his parents Otto and Emma Krossa. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-three years, Florence; his children, Robert, Andrea, and Janice; his granddaughter, Keely; and his great-grandchildren, Alicia and Jacob. Don was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on March 28, 1929. He grew up in Shaughnessy and Rimbey and worked in Wainwright for several years. He earned his Commerce and Education degrees from the University of Alberta, then taught business education at Victoria Composite High School in Edmonton until his retirement in 1985. Don and Florence enjoyed trips to the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Caribbean before moving to the South Okanagan valley in 2001. A private graveside committal was held in Oliver, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
