On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Donald Mike Varga of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Alex and Annie; brother Alex; half-siblings Frank (Ignace) and Meiri; and his niece Cathy.

From: Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service & Crematorium Ltd.

The Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service & Crematorium Staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Judy Dallas
Relation: Long time friend of the family.

My sympathies to the Varga family at this time of loss. Don was a very quiet person, but had a good sense of humour and was extremely knowledgeable about engines, etc. and grew some spectacular garden items which he shared with many. He is now at Peace and his family will have good memories to look back on. R.I.P., Don.

From: Sandra Smith
Relation: co-worker

A hardworking gentleman with a smile. Always there to fix anything at the Osoyoos, then Oliver plants. Condolences to all of the family.

From: Jim and Cindy Liebel

We were sorry to hear about Don. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

From: Don Frey
Relation: He was my Uncle.

I was Sadden to hear of the passing of Uncle Don. I still think of all the times we would wrestle and taking us for Root beer and telling me that the cherry peppers weren’t hot and then laughing as my eye’s started to water. I will miss he’s great sense of humor and smile.
