Tribute
Donna leaves behind her husband Gaitano (Gaits) of almost 60 years; sons Jay (Marilyn) and Joseph; daughters June, Joan and Jody (Tim) as well as grandchildren Crystal, Daniel, Hannah, Matson and Nathan.
She was born in Edmonton, AB and moved to Calgary with her mother Patricia, where she met and married Gaits. They later settled on a farm in Balzac, AB where she worked as a bookkeeper while raising her five children. In 1979, they moved to Parksville on Vancouver Island where they eventually retired. They shared a passion for traveling after moving to Osoyoos.
The family would like to thank Dr. Entwistle for his over the top compassion for our mother. We would also like to thank all of the amazing staff for their exceptional care extended to our mother in her frequent times in the South Okanagan General Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations directly to the South Okanagan General Hospital, 911 McKinney Road, Oliver, BC V0H 1T3 are gratefully accepted.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
