Tribute
On Saturday, March 2, 2019, Ms. Doris Evelyn Bolton of Oliver passed away peacefully at McKinney Place Extended Care at the age of 92 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Clara Bolton, brother Stanley and sisters Marie, Ruth and Eleanor and Alice.
Doris will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Doris was born in Saskatchewan. She enjoyed a long career as a dedicated and caring nurse.
She enjoyed travelling across Canada and the United States. Doris enjoyed volunteering with the Gleaners, making quilts for the homeless overseas, hiking, sewing, softball and music. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs and birds.
Doris was a valued and very involved member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed playing piano at church, teaching Sabbath School and being involved with children’s ministry.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, May 26th, 2019 at the Oliver Seventh-day Adventist Church followed by a reception in the church hall.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the SPCA.
