Tribute
On Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Dorothy Ida (Daku) Barker passed away peacefully at her home, age 74, after an 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Predeceased by her parents, John P and Helen Daku, sister Liz, Driedger, and brother Gabe Daku.
Survived by her husband, Brian Barker and her family, Amber (Seth), Heather (Royden), Derek and Kayla. Grandchildren, Lila, Ronin, Lily and Jake. Her sisters, Sue, Marge, Ev, Elly (Peter) and brother Dave (Linda). Several nieces and nephews. Numerous friends that she considered as family.
Using her degree in Early Childhood Education Dorothy’s favourite was working with children, they seemed to instantly bond with her nurturing care and love.
Dorothy had a great and satisfying faith in the Lord and lead her life in his service.
She will fondly be remembered for her warm and generous spirit and the love she had for her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday March 11, 2023 at the Osoyoos Christian Centre with a reception to follow in the Osoyoos Christian Centre reception hall.
