Douglas Harrison

February 1, 1964 - June 13, 2018

Tribute

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Mr. Douglas Warren Harrison of Okanagan Falls passed away peacefully at Moog & Friends Hospice House after a long illness at the age of 54 years.

He will be fondly remembered by his loving family including mother Lorraine; sisters Cheryl (Terry) and Nicole (Robert); niece Jessica aunt Elizabeth and a great many friends.

Doug had many occupations over the years. Radio and hockey was his passion but he was diverse in his experience.

He was born and raised on the prairies but he loved the orchards and vineyards of the Okanagan.

From Shaw Cable to Iron Man to the Legion, he was always available to help anyone with technical support. Doug enjoyed politics and video games and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Okanagan Falls Legion Hall.

A graveside urn committal will be held at 1:00 P.M Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Okanagan Falls Cemetery.

Doug you were one of a kind. Always had a smile on your face and a joke to tell. My friend you will be missed dearly by so many people. Was such a special day to have all your friends together for a bbq at hospice. We will never forget that day. Till we meet again. Cheers. You are no longer in pain.

From: Scott Robinson
Relation: former co-worker

So sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. He had a great voice and an enthusiasm for radio that left his co-workers’ heads spinning. Last we spoke he was working at a station in Saskatchewan and was, as always, enthusiastic. Rest in peace.

From: John Moorhouse
Relation: Former co-worker

Worked with Doug at Great Valleys Radio 30+ years ago and bumped into him often at PRH in recent months. So sorry to hear of his passing – our sincere condolences to Lorraine & family.
