On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Douglas Norman Hooper of Duncan passed away after a hard-fought battle with liver cancer at the age of 63. He is predeceased by his parents Keith Hooper and Janet Olson, and sisters Evelyn Markam and Vivian Hooper. He is survived by his sister Carol Smith.
Douglas worked for Gold Star Painting for ten years.

Hello to Douglas’ sister Carol and his family and friends. The Ladysmith Class of ’79 is holding a reunion this summer and we were saddened to learn of Douglas’ passing. He was in school with a number of us over the years at North Oyster Elementary and Ladysmith middle and high schools. We send our condolences on his, and his other family members’ passings. He passed far too young. We are glad he will be remembered with this tribute message.
