It is with great sadness that the family of Edna Patricia Kirby announce her passing on February 6, 2021 in Oliver, British Columbia from Covid 19.
Edna was born on March 17, 1926 and grew up on her family’s farm south of Wapella, Saskatchewan.
Predeceased by her loving parents Eliza and Virgil Barrett, husband George Damon Kirby, daughter Betty Mable Cook, brother Bill; sisters Phyllis, Ruth and Grace and step-daughter Janice Virtue.
Lovingly remembered by her son Ben Cook and partner Joyce Springer, grandchild Bette-Anne, great-grandchildren Tuesday and Kendrick; her son Gerry Cook and his wife Kim Cook, grandchildren Jennifer, Mitchell, Kelly and Kaitlyn, great-grandchild Jasmin; two sisters Mildred and Rosanne; one brother Gordon (Gordie) as well as step-children Maxine (Norman) Schmidt, and Cathy (Barry) Wallin; step-son-in-law Rex Virtue; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Sunnybank Centre team in Oliver.
Due to COVID-19 regulations a private graveside ceremony will be held on February 16th at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
