Tribute
On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Mr. Edward Philip Oswald of Rock Creek passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 84 years.
He was predeceased by his son Wayne Oswald; father Edward Philip Oswald and mother Elizabeth Gaines.
He will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Betty Lou Oswald; daughter Darlene Oswald (Josh) and grandson Jamie Oswald; daughter Michelle Hlady and grandchildren Kristen Hlady-Doyle and Seth Schmidt; son Byron Oswald (Tiffany) and grandchildren Ella, Aria and Orion; sister Elizabeth “Liza” Tarr (Roy); nieces Deborah Donahue and Dana Donahue; nephew David Donahue as well as great-grandchildren and great-grandnieces and nephews.
Edward worked as a maintenance worker for Lafarge Concrete in Vancouver for 45 years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was very involved with Lucky Bucks Archery in Surrey and at Langley Rod & Gun.
In Lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the BC Lung Association.
