Tribute
On Thursday, December 14, 2023, Edward Patzer of Oliver passed away at the age of 92.
He is survived by his 4 daughters, Edith (late Howard); Erna; Elizabeth (Tom); and Erika (Jeff), and 8 grandchildren.
Edward moved to Canada from Poland in 1956, after landing in Halifax he moved to Wawa, Ontario where he lived until 1985, when he moved to BC. In 2001, Edward moved to Oliver where he made his home. Edward was a miner for 30 years, he loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing and he loved his dogs, owning many chihuahuas over his life.
On Wednesday, December 20th, family laid Edward to rest in the Oliver Cemetery.

I have an enormous respect for Eddy .He walked everywhere, just a little slower the days before he died. We met when I worked at the Post Office here in Oliver. My co-worker Brenda and I loved it when he came in. A great smile and friendly demeanour. He had just told me his Doctor had made a house call to check on him and I talked to him on Main Street.
I will miss him. My condolences to Ed’s family.
