Eleanar Tomlin

Tribute
On Wednesday November 27, 2013, Mrs. Eleanar Caroline Tomlin of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 88 years.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Karoline Walton; her husband Allan in 1977 (whom she married in 1947); son Harvey in 2013 and brother Torlieve Rudi in Norway.
Eleanor will be fondly remembered by her close friend Ralf Riley; daughter Noreen Tomlin of Campbell River , son Kevin (Corinne) of Oliver, and daughter Karen (Dan) Skaros of Oliver; grandchildren Bill, Danielle, Kyla, Jarodd, Josh, Rebecca (Roger) and Ryan (Jovia); great-grandchildren Bailey, Riley, Justice, Gabrielle, Tucker and Hayley; sister Anna and brother Magna of Norway, lifelong friend Emily McCrae as well as many extended family and friends.
Over the years Eleanar worked at the Haynes Packinghouse but she was able to fulfill working her dream job for the last fifteen years of her working life as a care aide at Sunnybank until retirement. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday December 4, 2013 at St. Edwards Anglican Church.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all of Aunty Eleanor’s family. One of the wonderful memories we have of her is yodeling after we all finished singing Christmas carols at the annual family sing-song at Kevin & Corrine’s. She was a beautiful person and a special Aunt. Dennis & Jean

Although the surviving family, may not remember us well,
our parents always had fond memories of Eleanar.
Eleanar once stayed with us after we moved to Kelowna.
Joyce lives in Westbridge now, so kept in touch with Eleanar when she was in Rock Creek.
Now, she discovered that Kyla is also in Christian Valley with Johni.
May the fond memories you chreish,
grant you peace at this time of the loss of both Harvey and Eleanar.
We never forget those we love,
their memory dwells in our hearts forever.
I passed this on to the Moss family,
as Eleanar came to B.C. with Betty (Moss) Misner.
