It is dismay that we learned that our brother, uncle and great-uncle passed away on December 4th, 2022, 7 months after his beloved wife Trudy, at South Okanagan General Hospital.
Erwin Weiler was born on September 26, 1937 in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. After his training as a tree nursery gardener and many years of work, Erwin immigrated to Canada in the 1960’s.
After a short time, he found a home in Oliver, BC. He became a proud resident of his town and lovingly worked in his orchard. Erwin was a volunteer and social worker for many decades as a Freemason, a supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society, and a driver for cancer patients.
