Relation: Great Nephew (Lovina's grandson)

Though in many cases we have not met my Nana (Lovina) used to tell me so many stories of life and family in Canada that she used to joke that she “always knew John (I) had some Temple in him”. I tell my sons those same stories now, and they laugh just as hard as I did as a child and still do.

I know how much it hurt when Nana passed, how much it still does at times, and that fact makes my heart heavy for you all even more so having been there. Please know you have a cousin / great -nephew thousands of miles away who is praying for and thinking of you all…

Aunt Ethel, Auntie Curl (my favorite nickname for my favorite Aunt Pearl ), Uncle Clare, Uncle Mel and Nana… love you.

Relation: my sister-in-laws mother

I have known Ethel all my life as she was my mothers best friend and our neighbour. Knowing Ethel would be at an event meant that it would be fun. She was always so much fun and made us laugh. She made my wedding dress 45 years ago and I will always remember her so very fondly.

From: Charlene Hunt
Relation: My Nana

My Nana
Fun, loving, laughter, tea, Auntie Pearl, Nanny, tinkle, rapping, scrubbing bubbles (yes, scrubbing bubbles), home made blankets, Marion Cunningham, Cultas Lake, BINGO, LOVED!
Just a few things that come to me when I think of my Nana. (In no particular order) I have so many memories of my Nana. She loved sharing stories of her past and her family back East. She was always there to listen to me when I needed an ear. I have tonnes of memories when Nana and Grandpa lived in Cultas Lake and had us cousins stay with them in the summers. It was hard to take her serious when we were misbehaving, she was just so damn cute!!! She taught me so much in my life. I know I am blessed to have had her in my life for so many years. I am equally blessed for her to have been in my children’s lives and share and make so many memories with them. I love you Nana!! I am in disbelief and cannot imagine you not in our lives. You will be missed greatly!!!! Love you forever, Char

Dorothy, Doug, Char & Dougie; we are truly saddened to learn of the loss of your mother and grandmother. Dorothy, I have very fond memories or your mother and will never forget the trip you and I made to Reno with your mom and Auntie Pearl in 1984, it was such fun. I have no doubt that your mom will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
