Tribute
On Sunday October 13, 2013, Mr. Eugene (Gene) Lionel Carriere of Okanagan Falls passed away suddenly at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Julitte and Camille; sister Lucille; as well as brothers Omer, Raymond, Victor and Jerry.
Gene will be fondly remembered by his loving spouse Lorraine Harrison; children Nicole Iezzi, Monique, Elaine, Emile, Paul and Perry; step-children Cheryl Marie and Douglas; ten grandchildren including Jessica, and one great-grandchild Lyndon; sisters Yolande, Elaine, Teresa, Yvette and Anita as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He will be missed by many family and friends for his sense of humour and laughter. His love for his horses and the outdoors led him to competition in many horse events. Gene had the Gift of the Gab. This led him to a career in sales – trucks, cars and or whatever.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. October 20, 2013 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5009 Veterans Way, Okanagan Falls with a luncheon to follow. Interment will follow at the Okanagan Falls Cemetery on Maple Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation, 550 Carmi Avenue, Penticton, BC V2A 9Z9.
