On Monday, May 11, 2015, Mr. Eugene (Gene) Smith of Oliver passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Ollie by his bedside. Gene will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Eugene’s family as they process this profound loss. There has never been another home where you were always welcomed with open arms, whether you had just met Ollie and Eugene or whether you had known them for 30 years. We’ll gather to lift a glass in Eugene’s memory….he would have liked that.

Dad…..you will be heartfully missed by your children Warren,Wade(deceased) Wanda,Wyona,Ward,Angela & Joy.Even though we couldn’t see you in your later years,we remember what a loving Father you were when we were a family out in the Nicola Valley.We will have a celebration of your life in Merritt BC July 11.Anyone who would like to come we would enjoy meeting you and hearing some good stories about our Father.

The Memorial service for our Father Eugene (Gene) will be held at. 2pm July 11,2015 at the Crossroads Community Church,2990 Voght Street Merritt BC……also a POTLUCK DINNER will follow at 5pm at the Moon Shadows RV park…the Smith Family is a very large and close Family some will be staying at the RV Park and others will be getting a room in Merritt…
